5-Day Bali Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & Seminyak Beach

Arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Seminyak. After check-in and a short rest, head to Seminyak Beach to feel the sand under your feet and watch surfers ride the waves.

As the sun sets, relax at a beachfront lounge or beach club with a drink in hand, taking in Bali’s famous golden-hour skies. Enjoy a welcome dinner in Seminyak’s lively dining scene before turning in early to prepare for the days ahead.

Day 2: Ubud Culture & Rice Terraces

After breakfast, travel inland to Ubud, Bali’s cultural capital. Start at the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary or a nearby temple complex to experience Balinese architecture, moss-covered statues and mischievous long-tailed macaques.

In the afternoon, explore the iconic Tegalalang or Tegallalang Rice Terraces, walking among emerald-green paddies and palm trees. Stop at a local café overlooking the terraces for coffee or a fresh coconut before browsing Ubud’s art shops and market stalls.

Day 3: Temples & Volcano Views (Pura Besakih & Mount Batur)

Set out early for eastern Bali to visit Pura Besakih, the island’s largest and most important temple complex, dramatically perched on the slopes of Mount Agung. Wander through its terraced courtyards and shrines while learning about Balinese Hindu traditions.

Continue to the Kintamani region for panoramic views of Mount Batur and its shimmering crater lake. Enjoy lunch at a restaurant with a volcano viewpoint, then optionally take a short hike or visit nearby hot springs before returning to your hotel.

Day 4: Tanah Lot & Uluwatu (Kecak Fire Dance)

Begin your day at Tanah Lot, one of Bali’s most photographed sea temples, dramatically set on a rocky outcrop surrounded by crashing waves. Explore the clifftop viewpoints and nearby coastal paths.

In the late afternoon, head to Uluwatu Temple, perched high above the Indian Ocean. As the sun sets, watch the traditional Kecak fire dance performance in the open-air amphitheater, then enjoy a seafood dinner at a nearby cliffside or beachside restaurant.

Day 5: Spa, Sukawati Art Market & Departure

On your final day, enjoy a relaxing spa treatment or Balinese massage to rejuvenate your body after a busy itinerary. Many spas offer soothing flower baths, body scrubs and aromatherapy sessions.

Stop at Sukawati Art Market or a similar local market to pick up last-minute souvenirs such as wood carvings, textiles and paintings. Depending on your flight time, enjoy a final meal before your transfer to the airport for departure.
